We’d like to help you discover the benefits
that Virtualised Computing can bring to your business.
As an experienced and vendor-accredited
supplier of Virtualisation products and professional
services, we’d enjoy the opportunity to explain
the advantages of partnering with us to deliver your
Virtualised Infrastructure. This site has been designed
partly as a virtualisation primer; to provide you with
resources that will help explain what Virtualised Infrastructure
is and how it can be applied to your business. For those
already familiar with these concepts we present the
latest market-leading products and services that we
are able to offer, for you to put to work today.
The Virtualisation
Value Proposition
The cost of servers and storage devices has never been lower
and continues to fall. Under these conditions and faced with
ever growing demands from users and customers, the IT function
has typically paid less attention to critical examination
of utilisation levels than spending itself out of poor delivery.
It has been easier and safer to purchase additional physical
hardware with excess capacity in anticipation of peak or unanticipated
loads which never actually transpire.
By some estimates, the arrays of server and storage
products found in large organisations can be up to 90% underutilised
on a machine-by-machine basis. The capital wastage is potentially
enormous.
To compound the problem, this proliferation of physical server
and storage hardware creates a significant management overhead.
It is inherently expensive to maintain and upgrade equipment
of diverse manufacturer base, age and architecture, and even
more so when it is geographically distributed.
Similarly, whilst there is no hard linkage between complexity
and failure it has been true that as a business demanded more
from its IT infrastructure, its ability to provide robust
AND cost-effective continuity solutions diminished.
Deploying Storage Virtualisation software can provide advanced
protection for both data and virtual machines, such as synchronous
and asynchronous replication across SANs, LANs and WANs, with
an ease of deployment, reduced TCO, and choice of hardware
that is not characteristic of hardware SAN solutions.
The stage is set for the rise of the Virtualised Infrastructure.
